How to Play

  • 1Players alternate placing stones on the intersections of the grid. Black plays first.
  • 2Surround your opponent's stones to capture them. A stone with no liberties (adjacent empty points) is captured.
  • 3Control territory by surrounding empty areas with your stones. Both players pass when no useful moves remain.
  • 4Score = territory + stones on board. White receives 6.5 komi (compensation for going second). Highest score wins.
